IONNA expands 400-kW EV charging network to more than 180 sites

By Michelle Froese | October 1, 2026

IONNA has expanded its US electric vehicle (EV) charging network to more than 180 active sites, more than doubling its footprint since the beginning of 2026. The company says it is now the largest 400-kW charging network in the US.

More than 40 of those locations are Rechargeries at Circle K stores, following a partnership between the companies announced in April. IONNA reports that usage at participating locations has doubled following their conversion to IONNA operations.

The network is also expanding vehicle and charging-platform integration. IONNA now works with 19 partner apps, including Presto, ChargeHub, and EV Connect, rather than requiring drivers to use a proprietary IONNA app.

Plug & Charge functionality is now available for Volvo vehicles, with Toyota and Lexus integration expected in October. BMW, GM, Hyundai, and Mercedes-Benz also offer IONNA charging discounts through their apps and Plug & Charge.

IONNA received the highest score among dc fast-charging networks in the J.D. Power 2026 US Electric Vehicle Experience Public Charging Study during its first year of eligibility.

The company has also introduced a Driver’s Dashboard that provides real-time charging-session information without requiring an app. IONNA has established a Driver Advisory Council to provide feedback on network performance, customer priorities, and future product development.
