Cirba Solutions will participate in The Battery Show North America 2026, taking place October 12–15 at Huntington Place in Detroit, Michigan. The company will discuss critical mineral recovery and closed-loop recycling for electric vehicle (EV) batteries.
Cirba Solutions recently completed a closed-loop EV battery recycling pilot with General Motors (GM) and other partners.
The project recovered materials from end-of-life GM EV battery packs and returned them to battery production as cathode active material (CAM) containing 100% recycled nickel, cobalt, and manganese.
The recovered materials were processed and validated for use in new battery cells. The first GM electric vehicles equipped with cells containing the recycled CAM entered production in September.
The project demonstrates how materials recovered from retired EV batteries can be reintroduced into automotive manufacturing. Cirba Solutions is continuing to work with industry partners to develop domestic recovery and recycling pathways for critical battery materials.
Cirba Solutions representatives will be available to meet with industry attendees during The Battery Show North America.
