Toshiba to highlight automotive power conversion technologies at electronica 2026

By Michelle Froese | November 4, 2026

Toshiba Electronics Europe will showcase its semiconductor and power conversion technologies at electronica 2026, taking place November 10–13 in Munich, Germany. The exhibition will include demonstrations of motor control and power electronics for electric vehicles (EVs).

Automotive demonstrations will feature water-pump and fan-control applications using Toshiba’s SmartMCD motor-control devices and low-voltage MOSFETs. These technologies address thermal management requirements in electric and conventional passenger vehicles.

Toshiba will also display a 3 kW, 48 V-to-12 V dc-dc converter reference design, alongside traction semiconductor devices and packaging technologies. The exhibits will highlight power conversion and thermal management considerations for automotive electronics.

Beyond automotive applications, the company will present silicon carbide (SiC) power modules and gate-drive reference designs for energy infrastructure and industrial power conversion. Its SCiB lithium-ion battery cells and modules will also be featured for rapid charging and frequent-cycling applications.

Toshiba will exhibit in Hall C3, Stand C3.119, throughout electronica 2026.
