ZF Aftermarket will showcase its expanded maintenance and repair portfolio for electric vehicles (EVs) at AAPEX 2026, taking place November 3–5, 2026, in Las Vegas. The offering includes a new oil change kit for Tesla applications and component-level repair solutions for electric drivetrains.
The Tesla oil change kit is designed for the reduction gearboxes used in battery-electric vehicles. These gearboxes require appropriate lubrication to protect components exposed to high motor torque and rotational speeds. ZF’s expanded fluid and filter program also covers hybrid and conventional powertrains.
The company’s E-Mobility Repair Kit family provides targeted repair options for electric motors, mechatronics, inverters, and electric drive unit reducers. More than 100 electric axle drive repair kit variants are planned, allowing workshops to replace affected components rather than complete assemblies when appropriate.
The portfolio includes four repair kit categories:
- Electric motor (EM): Rotor and stator assemblies for ZF second-generation hybrid modules used in 8HP transmissions.
- Mechatronics (ME): Remanufactured mechatronic units that undergo testing and programming before delivery.
- Inverter (IN): Repair solutions for inverter-related failures in fourth-generation 8HP hybrid transmissions.
- Reducer (RD): Bearing components for selected electric drive unit reducer repairs.
ZF is also expanding its North American remanufacturing portfolio with 250 transmission part numbers and 100 transmission component part numbers. The company’s global remanufacturing portfolio includes approximately 2,400 transmission part numbers, including hybrid applications.
Selected electric axle and electric motor repair solutions will be displayed at AAPEX alongside ZF’s transmission fluids, oil change kits, and remanufactured drivetrain components.
