Kandi Technologies Group announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, China Battery Exchange (Zhejiang) Technology Co., Ltd., has received an equipment procurement order from QIJI Energy, CATL’s heavy-truck battery swap business.
Under the agreement, China Battery Exchange will provide equipment manufacturing, delivery, site deployment, and after-sales maintenance for 18 heavy-truck battery swap stations.
The company received its first CATL order for heavy-truck battery swap equipment in August 2025 under a framework procurement agreement. In January 2026, China Battery Exchange entered into a three-year strategic cooperation agreement with Times QIJI Green Energy Technology (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd., a CATL subsidiary focused on chassis-based battery swapping for heavy-duty trucks.
The latest order represents the first batch procurement under that agreement and moves the partnership beyond the pilot stage into commercial deployment.
The stations are part of CATL’s “Ten Thousand Station Plan.” Through QIJI Energy, CATL is targeting approximately 900 heavy-truck battery swap stations by the end of 2026.
“This batch order speaks to the depth and momentum of our growing partnership with CATL and validates our strengths across product technology, quality assurance, and delivery execution,” said Feng Chen, CEO of Kandi.
Chen added that the company has increased production capacity in preparation for growing demand and expects to support further deployment as investment in heavy-truck battery swap infrastructure expands across China.
