Webasto Power Test Systems (PTS) and Maccor Inc. have announced a collaboration to provide integrated testing systems for OEMs, battery laboratories, and universities, covering applications from cell and module cycling to high-voltage battery pack testing and drivetrain emulation.
The collaboration is intended to support electric vehicle (EV) development programs, where validation increasingly spans multiple test levels, from individual cells through full battery packs and electrified drivetrains.
It’s possible to combine Maccor’s cell, module, and pack cycling systems with Webasto’s high-power, bidirectional test platforms used for EV pack-level testing and drivetrain emulation.
As EV platforms move toward higher voltages and power levels, testing requirements are expanding beyond standalone component validation. Manufacturers and research teams require scalable test environments that support EV battery and drivetrain validation under realistic electrical and thermal operating conditions while meeting evolving safety requirements.
The systems are designed, manufactured, and serviced in the USA.
