BTC POWER is supplying dc fast-charging technology for Summit Charging’s expanding US. Electric vehicle (EV) charging network, including projects awarded funding through the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) program.
Since expanding their partnership in April 2026, the companies have worked on charger specifications, Build America, Buy America (BABA) compliance documentation and site planning for Summit’s charging network.
Summit Charging currently holds NEVI awards for eight sites across Washington, DC, Texas and California, representing 40 dc fast chargers and 56 charging ports. The company is also developing four self-funded sites in California with 42 chargers and 54 ports, along with five planned sites in New York and Pennsylvania with 25 chargers and 25 ports.
Together, the projects represent a pipeline of 17 sites, 107 chargers and 135 charging ports. Summit Charging is targeting 100 EV charging sites by 2028.
BTC POWER’s 320-kW All-In-One (AiO) BABA-compliant dc fast charger is being used as part of the network expansion. The company’s All-In-One platform is available in 180, 240, and 320-kW configurations, allowing charger output to be selected based on the power requirements, expected traffic, and economics of individual sites.
Summit evaluates potential charging locations based on factors including parking availability, traffic, accessibility, electrical capacity, nearby charging competition, customer demographics, and utility infrastructure.
The companies are also incorporating battery energy storage systems (BESS) into some site designs to help manage peak power demand and reduce demand-charge exposure. Summit Charging handles site identification, planning, funding, development, and construction of its EV charging locations, while BTC POWER supplies the charging equipment and supporting technical specifications.
