Supporting CPOs with verified EV charging interoperability

By Michelle Froese | March 14, 2025

AMPECO, a provider of electric vehicle (EV) charging management software, and Ekoenergetyka-Polska S.A., a manufacturer of EV charging stations, have successfully completed integration tests of Ekoenergetyka’s Axon Easy charging station with AMPECO’s management platform.

This integration aims to help charge point operators (CPOs) across Europe address regulatory compliance, secure payment processing, and user engagement challenges.

The tests confirmed seamless communication between Ekoenergetyka’s charging stations and AMPECO’s hardware-agnostic platform, supporting CPOs as they scale operations and navigate complex European regulations.

The testing focused on four key functionalities:

  1. Regulatory compliance – Verified compliance with German Eichrecht regulations, ensuring accurate and transparent billing with clear energy usage and cost breakdowns, essential for CPOs operating in Germany.
  2. Auto charge functionality – Enabled faster, more efficient charging sessions, benefiting B2B customers and fleet operators by simplifying the charging process.
  3. Dynamic messaging – Integrated the ability for charging stations to display personalized messages, allowing CPOs to communicate with EV drivers in real time.
  4. Onsite payment processing – Implemented dynamic QR codes for ad-hoc charging without user registration, improving accessibility and increasing station utilization.

These enhancements provide CPOs with improved compliance, efficiency, and user engagement, helping to streamline operations and expand charging accessibility.

This hardware-software integration comes at a pivotal time when European markets are implementing increasingly complex regulations for EV charging infrastructure. Together, the companies provide CPOs with thoroughly tested technical solutions that maximize operational efficiency and user satisfaction while ensuring full regulatory compliance.
