RippleOn launches residential Level 2 smart EV charger

By Puja Mitra | December 18, 2025

As electric vehicle (EV) use increases, home Level 2 charging is becoming a common way to cut charging time and manage electricity costs. RippleOn Energy announced a residential Level 2 smart EV charger designed for home garages.

The RippleOn Level 2 charger is rated for up to 50 miles of range per hour and uses a J1772 connector, with Tesla NACS support via an included adapter. The unit supports NEMA 14-50 plug-in or hardwired installation. The package includes an installation bracket, cable holster and plug holder.

The charger is managed through the RippleOn app, which allows users to:

  • Schedule charging sessions
  • Adjust current from 6 to 48 amps
  • Monitor voltage, duration and energy use in real time
  • Receive daily or weekly charging reports

It also includes built-in metering and supports RFID or app-based access.

RippleOn said the charger includes electrical protections and self-recovery features. It has an IP65-rated enclosure and is designed to operate from -22 to 131° F. The company said it is FCC and Energy Star certified and UL compliant, with a UL 94V-0 flame-retardant housing.
