EVBox, a provider of electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions, has been awarded the Gold sustainability status from EcoVadis, an international assessment that evaluates a company’s sustainability practices. This is the second year in a row that EVBox has secured Gold status, with a score of 76.
Dedication to sustainability
EcoVadis’ Gold award reflects demonstrated improvements and contributions toward sustainable growth in the past year. EVBox is committed to implementing sustainable practices, notably with its Net Zero commitment with the support of The Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), Net Zero Standards for EVBox Suppliers, its Code of Conduct for EVBox Supply Chain, and expanding ISO 14001:2015 certification.
The EcoVadis rating system scales from Bronze, to Silver, to Gold, and ultimately Platinum. The rating’s criteria are based on international standards, including Global Reporting Initiative, Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact, and ISO 26000.
Companies are judged on four categories:
- Environment
- Labor & Human Rights
- Ethics
- Sustainable Procurement
EVBox performed well in all categories, and exceptionally in the Ethics category.
“Congratulations to the entire team for the achievement,” said Sabina Beres, Sustainability Program manager at EVBox. “The bar is raised every year, and EVBox continues to strive in sustainability. In order to power a sustainable future, we must not only accelerate the electric mobility transition, but consistently evolve our practices to make positive impact in all aspects of sustainability.”
