Quintus Technologies and Lyric Robot partner on solid-state battery manufacturing

By Michelle Froese | December 31, 2025

Quintus Technologies has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for a strategic partnership with Guangdong Lyric Robot Automation Co. (Lyric Robot) to explore integrated manufacturing solutions for the all-solid-state battery (ASSB) sector, a technology increasingly viewed as a potential enabler for electric vehicles (EVs).

As solid-state batteries progress from early-stage demonstrations toward pilot-line production and industrial-scale manufacturing, EV battery developers face growing requirements around energy density, process consistency, throughput, and safety.

The collaboration will examine how Quintus’ isostatic press technology can be integrated with Lyric’s automation systems to address these manufacturing challenges at scale.

Under the agreement, the companies plan to jointly explore technical development programs that combine Quintus’ isostatic pressing equipment with Lyric’s automation capabilities to support automated ASSB manufacturing. This work may include engineering studies, proof-of-concept trials, system integration testing, and the joint development of technical specifications for customer applications.

These activities align with Quintus’ broader battery press development efforts, including pilot-scale press platforms designed to support material validation, process optimization, and the transition from research and development to industrial production.

The companies aim to evaluate manufacturing approaches that could support future high-volume solid-state battery production for EV applications.
