Qnovo announced a strategic investment from Hyundai Motor Company and Kia Corporation, expanding collaboration focused on deploying battery intelligence software across electric vehicle (EV) platforms.
Global battery demand continues to rise alongside electric vehicle and energy storage adoption. EV OEMs face growing pressure to manage battery durability, warranty exposure, and residual value.
Qnovo develops software-based battery management algorithms designed to provide real-time state-of-health diagnostics and predictive performance modeling without additional hardware.
The software is intended to improve charging control, extend usable battery life, and generate validated health data that can support warranty and lifecycle management decisions.
The investment follows multi-year validation efforts between Qnovo and Hyundai Motor and Kia, during which the companies evaluated the performance of Qnovo’s physics-based algorithms under automotive operating conditions. Hyundai Motor and Kia join existing investors including Blue Earth Capital, BorgWarner, Climate Investment, Constellation, RockPort Capital, and US Venture Partners.
