Kehua introduced a new 40-kW power module and an 80-kW VPFC power module for electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure, with a focus on EV fleet depots and upcoming megawatt charging deployments.
The launch targets charging systems designed for 800-V vehicle platforms and heavy-duty EVs that require higher throughput, stable operation and lower energy loss.
The 40-kW module is designed for dc fast chargers used in public and commercial EV charging sites. It’s rated at up to 97.5% peak efficiency and 97% weighted charging efficiency. Kehua said the module is about 7.5% smaller than the prior generation, with standby power reduced from 7.5 to 0 W and zero reactive power consumption.
The 80kW VPFC module is designed for high-power EV charging and megawatt-scale systems. It uses SiC devices and is rated at up to 97.5% peak efficiency and 97% weighted charging efficiency.
The module operates from -40° to +75° C, maintains full-power output at 55° C without derating and is specified to EMC Class B and IEC 61851-23:2023 for EV charging use in highway fast-charging stations, commercial charging hubs and EV fleet charging sites.
