Payment-enabled MaxiCharger AC Single charger debuts in the US

By Michelle Froese | January 6, 2026

Autel Energy has announced the US launch of a new configuration of its MaxiCharger AC Single, an electric vehicle (EV) charging system designed for destination, workplace, fleet, and multi-family residential applications.

Autel AC Single with Nayax Uno Mini

The updated configuration integrates the Nayax Uno Mini payment device at the factory, enabling direct credit card payment at the charger without requiring a mobile application or user registration.

The MaxiCharger AC Single retains the electrical architecture, enclosure, and installation footprint of the existing model while adding embedded payment functionality.

The charger supports adjustable output up to 12 kW (50 A), dynamic load balancing for multi-charger installations, and interoperability through OCPP 1.6J and 2.0.1. Support for ISO 15118 Plug & Charge and AutoCharge is maintained, preserving compatibility with a range of backend platforms and vehicle systems.

The platform is designed for long-term deployment, with a standard five-year warranty and a design lifespan exceeding ten years.

By integrating the Nayax Uno Mini, the charger supports contactless EMV, chip, and NFC wallet payments directly at the charging station. The system also supports RFID-based access control and closed-loop payment configurations for fleet and restricted-access environments, enabling operators to deploy AC charging infrastructure with built-in monetization and access control.

The new configuration follows an earlier partnership between Autel Energy and Nayax focused on embedding payment technology across Autel’s EV charging portfolio. Under that collaboration, payment hardware is planned for integration across a large number of Autel chargers deployed in North America and Europe through 2026.

The MaxiCharger AC Single with integrated payment capability uses the same installation and commissioning process as existing units, supporting deployment across mixed sites, retrofit programs, and new construction projects. Remote monitoring, diagnostics, and configuration are supported through Autel’s software platform, with connectivity options including Wi-Fi, Ethernet, and Wi-SUN.

The new MaxiCharger AC Single configuration with the integrated Nayax Uno Mini is available now through Autel’s distribution partners, resellers, and the Autel Energy website, and will be shown at CES 2026 (Booth LVCC, West Hall — 6219).
