Sakuu, a provider of commercial-scale equipment and technologies to the battery manufacturing industry, has announced a joint development agreement with ELEQTRION, a Quebec-based innovator in aluminum-ion battery technology.
By leveraging Sakuu’s Kavian platform and ELEQTRION’s battery electrode, the partnership aims to advance the development of aluminum-ion batteries for small to large-scale energy storage solutions and e-mobility applications.
The partnership will benefit from Kavian’s cost efficiency and reduced carbon footprint.
Sakuu’s Kavian platform offers scalability and sustainability in battery production, with the ability to manufacture batteries using a variety of chemistries, including aluminum-ion.
Aluminum-ion is emerging as a choice material for batteries for applications in large-scale energy storage, as well as a potential for electric vehicles, due to its high energy density, safety, and abundance.
