Optimizing logistics with automation and wireless charging

By Michelle Froese | March 12, 2025

Delta, a provider of power management and IoT-based solutions, will attend ProMAT 2025, showcasing its latest electrification and automation solutions. The event, from March 17th to 20th, 2025, in Chicago, will highlight Delta’s advancements in wireless charging, industrial automation, and power management for material handling and fleet management applications.

One of the key innovations introduced at the event is the MOOVbase Multi-port Charging System, which was developed to streamline charging infrastructure for small logistics vehicles and battery swap stations.

This system enables simultaneous charging of up to three vehicles or batteries with different voltage levels through a single ac connection, significantly reducing installation costs and complexity.

Designed for high-efficiency operations, MOOVbase models support charging capacities up to 30 kW/96V, delivering up to 640A at 94% efficiency. Advanced battery recovery modes help extend battery life, while Ethernet connectivity enables seamless fleet management system integration.

Delta will also present its MOOVair Wireless Charging Systems, which provide automatic charging for fleets of automated guided vehicles (AGVs), forklifts, and tow trucks. With power options ranging from 1 to 30 kW, the MOOVair portfolio eliminates manual plug-ins, reducing downtime and maintenance requirements.

The MOOVair 03 model offers 3-kW wireless charging up to 132 A at 24 V, ensuring reliable performance in high-demand environments. Using Delta’s PPL (Pad-Pad-Link) technology, MOOVair ensures stable, interference-free communication between chargers and vehicles, overcoming challenges posed by dust, dirt, and radio congestion.

In addition to its charging solutions, Delta will feature its A3-EP servo drive and AX-5 controller, designed to meet the diverse load capacity requirements of modern warehouses. These systems are functional safety certified, providing high precision and operational reliability in automation applications.
