WEX and Chargie have announced a partnership to support electric vehicle (EV) fleet operations across the country. The collaboration combines WEX’s fleet payment and management platforms with Chargie’s EV charging hardware, software, and services to optimize fleet electrification.
With this partnership, Chargie will continue designing, installing, and supporting Level 2 and Level 3 EV chargers for commercial and government fleets.
The charging stations will also be integrated with WEX’s payment platform, enabling drivers to make secure, touchless payments with WEX charge cards and fleet operators to analyze reports and invoices.
As the transportation sector transitions toward EVs, businesses and government agencies increasingly explore mixed-energy and fully electric fleets to reduce emissions, optimize costs, and improve performance.
A recent study commissioned by WEX and performed by market research firm Frost & Sullivan found that 80% of respondents plan for at least a quarter of their fleets to be electric by 2030. Additionally, nearly two-thirds of fleet managers have low-carbon goals for the same period.
