New onboard charger and bidirectional converter launched for EVs

BRUSA HyPower has announced the market launch of its latest product range, the OBC7 on-board charger and the BSC7 bidirectional supply converter. Both product families are certified for automotive use and designed to meet the evolving requirements of modern electric vehicles, from passenger cars and commercial vehicles to off-highway applications.

The new devices are engineered for performance, durability, and efficiency, addressing the needs of next-generation 400 and 800-V high-voltage battery systems.

The OBC7 combines compact design with scalable charging performance. It supports single- and three-phase ac charging up to 19.2/22 kW and features integrated dc charging management for flexible deployment.

Parallel operation of multiple units enables tailored power configurations to meet specific application requirements.

  • Ac charging up to 19.2/22 kW for 400 and 800-V batteries
  • Cost-optimized SiC technology with galvanic isolation
  • Integrated dc charging management

The BSC7 bidirectional supply converter.

The BSC7 bidirectional supply converter

The BSC7 is a galvanically isolated supply converter designed for flexibility across a wide range of EV applications, including passenger cars, light-duty to heavy-duty trucks, and off-highway vehicles.

With a compact and lightweight form factor, the BSC7 emphasizes efficiency, long service life, and environmental compatibility.

Key specifications:

  • Dimensions: 56 x 196 x 272 mm, weight <4 kg
  • Compatible with 400 V and 800 V HV batteries\
  • Galvanic isolation between HV and LV sides

The OBC7 and BSC7 extend BRUSA HyPower’s portfolio of high-voltage power electronics, supporting reliable, efficient, and scalable charging and power supply solutions for the electrification of diverse vehicle platforms.
