New EV expert certification program

RockED has announced a partnership with J.D. Power to launch the J.D. Power EV Expert Certification Program. This program aims to enhance EV sales and service by providing dealership staff with data-driven insights and comprehensive EV training through RockED’s mobile micro-learning platform.

The program equips dealership employees with an EV-focused curriculum, including video lessons designed for practical application. Participants who complete the training and pass an assessment will earn J.D. Power certification as EV Experts for the current calendar year.

Research highlights the challenges in dealership effectiveness related to EV sales and service:

  • Sales: Nearly 27% of shoppers reject EVs due to insufficient information. Buyers report lower satisfaction with the sales process than gas-powered vehicle buyers, particularly regarding dealer expertise.
  • Service: Dealer trust among EV owners is 39%, compared to 50% for gas vehicle owners. Satisfaction with service advisors is also significantly lower among EV owners.

J.D. Power’s insights, derived from decades of customer behavior analysis, complement RockED’s micro-learning platform. This partnership provides dealership staff with actionable tools to improve customer satisfaction and better meet the demands of EV buyers and owners.

The J.D. Power EV Expert Certification is designed to work alongside existing OEM and dealership group training programs, offering targeted industry insights and flexible learning modules to address the evolving EV market.
