New $3.5M battery order to support warehouse EVs

By Michelle Froese | November 12, 2024

Electrovaya Inc., a lithium-ion battery technology and manufacturing company, announced that it has received a purchase order valued at approximately US $3.5 million for immediate delivery of its batteries from one of its OEM sales channels.

The batteries will be used by a Fortune 100 e-commerce company in the United States and Australia for powering material-handling electric vehicles in its warehouse operations.

Electrovaya’s Infinity-HV systems target heavy-duty, high-voltage applications — including buses, delivery trucks, construction trucks, and hybrid-fuel cell/battery systems. The Infinity-HV systems offer top industry safety and longevity for these applications, ultimately providing lower liability costs, better warranty coverage, and an overall lower cost of ownership.

“This customer has been the largest operator of our batteries to date, with more than 30 distribution centers. We are pleased to see additional order volume from this key global customer. It is a testament to our commitment to providing reliable, safe, and long-lasting battery solutions,” said Dr. Jeremy Dang, VP of Business Development at Electrovaya.
