Pilot Company, General Motors (GM), and EVgo Inc. announced their collaborative charging network has surpassed 200 locations nationwide, covering nearly 40 states.
In just over two years, the partnership has deployed nearly 850 fast charging stalls, with a focus on filling charging gaps along key interstate travel corridors.
The companies noted that expansion has been particularly important in rural areas, where only 45% of counties had at least one fast charger at the start of 2025. Newly added states include Colorado, South Carolina, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wyoming, along with significant growth in Texas, Missouri, and Florida.
The network is being deployed at Pilot and Flying J travel centers, where drivers have access to amenities such as restaurants, Wi-Fi, and convenience retail. Many locations feature canopies for weather protection, pull-through stalls for larger EVs and trailers, and Plug and Charge capability for compatible models.
EVgo’s 350-kW high-power chargers support rapid refueling to keep long-distance travelers moving.
The collaboration, first announced in 2022, is nearly halfway to its goal of building up to 2,000 fast charging stalls at up to 500 Pilot and Flying J locations. By the end of 2025, the companies expect to have 1,000 stalls in operation across 40 states.
