MSI will present its electric vehicle (EV) charging products at CES 2026, including a new portable Level 2 charger called EZgo and an expanded wall-mounted charging lineup under the EV Life series.
EZgo is a portable EV charger designed to support home and travel use. The charger is supplied with a wall-mount storage kit for home use and a structured carry bag intended for vehicle storage during travel. It operates across a 100–240 V input range and supports common North American outlet types, including NEMA 5-15 for 120 V charging and NEMA 14-50 for 240 V charging.
When connected to a 240-V source, the unit can deliver up to 40 A, corresponding to a maximum output of 9.6 kW.
The charger is offered with either a Type 1 (SAE J1772) or NACS connector and includes a 25-foot charging cable to accommodate a range of parking and installation scenarios. It includes an integrated 1.8-inch display that provides real-time charging information directly on the device.
Physical controls allow users to adjust current levels and set delayed charging without relying solely on a mobile application. Bluetooth connectivity is supported through MSI’s aConnect platform, which allows multiple users to access the charger without exclusive device pairing.
EZgo is designed for repeated handling and outdoor use. The enclosure is rated IP66 for protection against dust and water ingress. MSI reports that the unit has undergone durability validation intended to reflect common use scenarios for portable chargers, including exposure to mechanical stress during storage and transport.
From an electrical safety standpoint, the charger complies with UL 2594 and UL 2231 standards for EV supply equipment and personnel protection. Enclosure materials are specified to meet UL 94-V0 and UL 746C (F1) requirements, supporting resistance to heat, UV exposure, and long-term environmental stress.
New Level 2 wall chargers
Alongside EZgo, MSI is also expanding its wall-mounted EV charging offerings with the EV Life Premium, part of the EV Life Series of Level 2 chargers. EV Life Premium is designed for fixed residential or property installations and supports output up to 14.4 kW at 60 A. The unit can be installed as a hardwired system or configured for plug-in operation using a NEMA 14-50 connection.
The EV Life Series is designed for indoor and outdoor installation and includes environmental protection ratings up to IP55 or IP67, depending on configuration, along with IK08 impact resistance. EV Life Premium adds an integrated color display that allows users to access charger settings and view charging status directly on the unit.
From a connectivity and systems perspective, EV Life Premium supports Type 1 (SAE J1772) and NACS connectors and integrates with MSI’s aConnect software platform. Network features include Wi-Fi and Ethernet connectivity, OCPP 1.6J compatibility for backend integration, and RFID authentication, supporting use cases that involve shared access, managed properties, or future network expansion.
