MIKROE has introduced CAN-LIN SBC Click, a communication interface Click board designed for automotive and electric vehicle (EV) embedded systems that require reliable CAN and LIN connectivity. The board supports development and evaluation of in-vehicle networking functions used in EV body electronics, control modules, and auxiliary subsystems.
CAN-LIN SBC Click enables high-speed communication over both Controller Area Network (CAN) and Local Interconnect Network (LIN) interfaces, supporting dual-protocol connectivity between automotive and industrial subsystems.
The compact Click board format allows engineers to quickly develop proof-of-concept designs and prototype embedded applications using standardized hardware and software interfaces.
The board is based on Microchip’s ATA6586 System Basis Chip, which integrates a high-speed CAN transceiver compliant with ISO 11898-2:2016 and supporting CAN FD data rates up to 5 Mbit/s, along with a LIN transceiver compliant with LIN 2.2A, ISO 17987-4, and SAE J2602-2 standards.
The device also incorporates power management, partial networking support, local and remote wake-up, diagnostic and protection features, and robust EMC and ESD performance suitable for automotive operating environments.
CAN-LIN SBC Click is part of MIKROE’s mikroBUS-enabled Click board ecosystem and supports automatic board identification through the ClickID feature. The board can be used with any host system supporting the mikroBUS standard and is compatible with mikroSDK open-source libraries for evaluation, development, and customization.
