Zerova has launched its megawatt charging system (MCS) station, a satellite-based dc charging system designed for electric trucks and buses. The system provides up to 1,440 kW and 1,500 A of liquid-cooled output current per unit, targeting depot and long-haul commercial vehicle charging applications.
Based on the architecture of Zerova’s DO360 and DZ480 power cabinets, the MCS charging station operates across output voltage ranges of 150 to 950 Vdc with the DO360 and 200 to 950 Vdc with the DZ480.
The platform is designed to meet the CharIN Megawatt Charging System standard following publication of the IEC TS 63379 connector specification earlier this year.
The charging unit is available with a 5 or 7-m liquid-cooled cable and supports MCS and CCS2 connectors. A 10.4-inch IK8-rated touchscreen provides the user interface, while the system supports Plug & Charge and integration with charging management systems through OCPP 1.6J and OCPP 2.0.1.
The dispenser is designed to meet CE requirements, including IEC 61851-1 and IEC 61851-23, for deployment in the European Union and European Economic Area.
The MCS platform is intended for commercial fleet applications where high charging power is needed to reduce vehicle downtime. Its satellite architecture allows power cabinets and dispensers to be configured for depot and corridor charging installations serving electric trucks, buses, and coaches.
Zerova showcased the MCS charging station this week at IAA Transportation 2026 in Hanover, Germany, which runs through September 20, 2026.
