Marel Power expands pilot production of EV power stacks

By Michelle Froese | September 21, 2026

Marel Power Solutions is expanding pilot-scale manufacturing of its configurable power-stack platform for electric vehicle (EV) power-electronics applications.

The platform is designed for use in traction inverters, onboard chargers, battery disconnect units, and charging infrastructure. Marel says the architecture combines high-density semiconductor packaging with thermal management intended to reduce the size and cost of power-conversion systems.

Unlike a fixed component, the power stack is designed as a configurable platform that can be adapted to different power levels and system requirements without developing a new architecture for each application.

The company has received $1.9 million through Michigan’s Supplier Conversion Grant Program to purchase equipment for pilot-scale production in the state.
