Keysight Technologies has announced a new series of high-power ATE system power supplies, expanding its power test portfolio with three automated test equipment (ATE) product families, including the:
- RP5900 Series Regenerative DC Power Supplies
- EL4900 Series Regenerative DC Electronic Loads
- DP5700 Series System DC Power Supplies
These systems are designed to address the increasing demands of high-power validation for electric vehicles (EVs), energy storage, and industrial applications.
Across industries, power validation has become increasingly complex, driven by higher-power devices that require extensive testing, greater rack space, manual test programming, and growing requirements for both security and sustainability.
Engineers need ATE solutions that not only deliver more power in less space but also automate complex test scenarios, safeguard sensitive data, and reduce energy waste. Keysight’s latest high-power supplies directly address these challenges, enabling engineers to validate designs more efficiently, expand test coverage, and reduce operational risk.
Keysight’s new high-power ATE supplies range from 1.5 to 12 kW and include uni-directional power supplies, bi-directional power supplies, and regenerative electronic loads.
By combining high density with automation software, the portfolio supports validation of complex, multi-kilowatt devices, such as EV batteries, inverters, converters, and powertrain components with greater precision and repeatability while minimizing space and energy requirements.

- Compact power and maximum density: High-density, regenerative supplies are essential for EV battery and inverter testing, where multiple high-power channels must fit within limited lab or test-bench space. The regenerative feature allows recovered power from load testing (like battery discharge or inverter operation) to be fed back to the grid, reducing waste, a key factor in sustainable EV development labs.
- Automation that expands possibilities: This directly applies to EV battery cycling, charging profiles, and transient load testing.
