Join Chroma at this year’s IEEE Transportation Electrification Conference & Expo

By Michelle Froese | May 22, 2024

Chroma will be exhibiting at the 2024 IEEE Transportation Electrification Conference & Expo, June 19th to 21st at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, IL. Attendees can speak with Chroma’s engineers about the industry’s advancements in electric vehicle (EV) and battery test solutions.

Chroma’s 16CH Battery Cell Simulator – 87001

For more than 10 years, ITEC has served as IEEE’s premier conference on transportation electrification, fostering connections between industry and academia.

Chroma’s EV automated test equipment address the specialized requirements involved in testing the power electronics of vehicles during design validation, as well as production. The power conversion within an EV is composed of several power electronic units. These include the ac or dc EVSE (EV Supply Equipment), onboard charger, dc-dc converter, and motor driver.

The benefits of our automated test systems include flexibility, speed, and test data recording and providing statistical analytical reports for design review and product improvement.

Product spotlights:

Bidirectional dc power supply + regenerative load: The Chroma 62000D programmable bidirectional dc power supplies have a power source, load characteristics, two quadrant operation, and they allow for feedback of the power from the DUT. They can be used for testing renewable energy power systems and as a battery simulator.

The 16CH battery cell simulator: The Chroma 87001 battery cell simulator is a high-precision, programmable, and bidirectional dc power source with voltage source and current source functions. In addition, the model can be used as a multi-channel dc power supply or an electronic load as well. A single simulator has 16 channels and each of them can set voltage and current respectively via Chroma software.
