I-PEX IARPB connector series launched for the automotive sector

By Michelle Froese | June 3, 2024

IARPB (Vertical type)

A new vertical-type board-in connector is being added to the I-PEX IARPB connector series, which is ideal for the automotive market due to its lightweight, compact design.

Recently, functions such as adaptive driving beams (ADB) have been added to headlamps, and there’s ongoing demand for space-saving components. To address these demands, I-PEX has developed the vertical type board-in connector.

This new product improves space efficiency by routing the wire harness vertically to the board, which may increase the degree of freedom in circuit board design and help customers further reduce the weight and size of their designs.

The Vertical Type IARPB is a board-in connector that exhibits high-vibration resistance due to the bossed structure of the housing. The housing structure has excellent visibility of the terminals after mounting. Additionally, the entire circumference of the terminal is tin-plated to ensure stable solder “wettability.”

Specifications

The above specifications are subject to change as the product is still under development. Samples are currently available. I-PEX is a high-quality manufacturer of the world’s most advanced connectors, sensors, complex molded parts.
