High-precision automotive resistors from Viking Tech

By Michelle Froese | March 18, 2024

Viking Tech is an ultra-precision resistor manufacturer with products used throughout automotive and electronic device applications. The company’s resistors fully meet automotive-grade quality assurance and AEC-Q200 compliance, offering high-precision resistance tolerance.

For example, Viking Tech offers…

The CNF…A series; Resistor Array, which is composed of several independent chip resistors. It limits the current and stabilizes voltages. It can be used as pull-up and pull-down resistors for parallel ports, simplifying PCB design and assembly and reducing the pick and place costs.

The CNF…A series products are a flat type between the terminals (no convex or concave design), so they’re strong in mechanical strength and are extremely resistant to damage. This means usable space can be added to the design, increasing the effective area of the resistor body and offering better electrical characteristics. The products have the same land patterns as concave or convex types, with high-power options available.

The ARM…A series includes an advanced thin-film resistor with a special process that ensures long-term stability and resistance to moisture based on humidity testing at 85° C /85% and 155° C high-temperature exposure tests. The high-temperature power derating starts from 85°C and there’s a wide resistance range up to 5.1Mohm, providing good performance of high power and high voltage.

Viking Tech offers automotive resistors for XEV/Engine control ,Hybrid/EV(battery packs), hybrid PCU, automotive body control, navigation systems, entertainment, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), vehicle lighting, and battery management systems (BMS).
