General Motors (GM) has integrated the Electrify America charging network into its myChevrolet, myGMC, and myCadillac mobile applications, enabling GM electric vehicle (EV) drivers to locate, access, and pay for charging sessions directly within their existing vehicle apps.
Through this integration, drivers can access more than 5,000 Electrify America dc fast-charging stations across the US, including 350-kW chargers. Drivers can view real-time charger availability, plan routes with charging stops, initiate charging sessions, and complete payment without using third-party applications.
The Electrify America integration is accessible through the Public Charging section of each myBrand app and supports charging while traveling throughout America.
The approach reduces reliance on multiple charging platforms by consolidating core charging functions into a single interface already used for vehicle management.
This integration aligns with GM’s broader effort to connect drivers to an expanding public charging ecosystem. Across the US and Canada, GM drivers currently have access to more than 250,000 public charging stations through supported networks.
Using the myBrand apps, GM EV drivers can:
- Locate nearby charging stations with real-time availability
- Plan routes and identify compatible charging stops
- Monitor active charging sessions
- Pay for charging directly within the app
As GM continues to scale its EV portfolio, GM Energy is focused on improving interoperability between vehicles, software platforms, and public charging infrastructure to support long-distance travel and daily charging needs.
