First NACS-ready EV chargers deployed in the US

By Michelle Froese | August 8, 2024

ChargeTronix, a global provider of reliable, powerful and intelligent electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure, announced the availability of its full suite of Direct Current Fast Charging (DCFC) products with North American Charging Standard (NACS) connectors. These chargers are the first NACS chargers available for shipping in the United States.

More than half of consumers cite range anxiety and a lack of charging stations as a major barrier to purchasing an EV. By increasing the availability of fast-charging options, ChargeTronix is directly addressing these concerns among current and future EV users.

The DCFC NACS chargers are also compliant with all Tesla models as well as NACS-ready vehicles from Ford, Mercedes-Benz, Kia and others in 2025, which will further support the anticipated surge in EV adoption as new vehicles hit the market.

The 30, 60, 120, and 180-kW DCFC NACS chargers are available in both single and dual configurations, with Build America, Buy America Act (BABA) compliant models offered. ChargeTronix provides a field retrofit option for all Combined Charging System (CCS) chargers, facilitating easy upgrades to the latest NACS technology.

“NACS technology is critical for the future of EV charging and charging standard alignment, which is why we’re excited to be one of the first companies to provide it,” says Xavier Landavazo, CEO of ChargeTronix. “This rollout, which will support a broad spectrum of EVs and drive the future of standardized charging in the USA, is a win-win for manufacturers, Charge Point Operators, and EV drivers.”
