Expanding retail EV charging with hyper-fast stations

By Puja Mitra | December 11, 2025

Electrify America and Simon are expanding electric vehicle (EV) charging at Simon retail properties, adding more places for EV drivers to charge during everyday stops. The companies began working together in 2018 at Gulfport Premium Outlets and have continued to add charging stations at shopping and entertainment sites.

To date, the Electrify America and Simon alliance has delivered:

  • 500-plus Hyper-Fast chargers across 105 stations in 27 states and two Canadian provinces
  • 189-plus gigawatt-hours of energy dispensed since launch
  • 549-plus million EV miles powered since launch

A recent installation is a charging station with 20 Hyper-Fast chargers at Simon’s Fashion Valley in San Diego.

The stations are located near retail and dining areas so drivers can charge while on-site. Hyper-Fast chargers deliver up to 350 kilowatts, allowing compatible vehicles to add significant range in about 20 minutes.

Drivers can use the Electrify America app to find chargers, view pricing, start sessions and track charging progress. Stations also support Plug &Charge for compatible vehicles, which starts a session when the vehicle is plugged in.
