EVgo Inc. announced plans to expand the rollout of North American Charging Standard connectors across its public fast-charging network to support the growing number of electric vehicles (EVs) equipped with the NACS inlet.
After a 2025 pilot that installed nearly 100 NACS connectors across 22 metropolitan areas, the company said it plans to increase deployment to more than 500 NACS connectors by the end of 2026.
The company’s NACS connectors will be added at existing and new sites to serve Tesla vehicles and other EV models that adopt NACS.
EVgo also plans additional NACS installations in 2026 in markets including Austin, Houston, Las Vegas, Orlando, Phoenix, Chicago, Dallas, Detroit and San Francisco, with the goal of offering NACS charging in more than 25 states by the end of 2026.
Most sites are expected to include two to four NACS connectors, with the option to add more based on utilization. EVgo said eligible NACS vehicles can use Autocharge+ through the EVgo app to initiate charging automatically at NACS-equipped locations without an adapter.
