EV battery and welding tech to be showcased at The Battery Show 2025

By Michelle Froese | September 30, 2025

AMADA WELD TECH will highlight its latest battery and electric vehicle (EV) welding technologies at The Battery Show, October 6th to 9th, 2025, at Huntington Place in Detroit, Michigan (Booth 3211). Visitors to the AMADA WELD TECH booth will experience live demonstrations of advanced solutions designed to enhance efficiency, traceability, and weld quality in battery and EV manufacturing.

Battery pack manufacturing

Live demonstrations will feature the TL-188B-EZ weld head paired with the UB-4000 Linear DC Resistance Welding Power Supply, integrated with a tabletop XY demo station.

Because weld quality is critical in battery pack production, AMADA WELD TECH will also present its resistance weld monitoring solutions, including the latest networked resistance weld monitors and weld checkers. These systems deliver full waveform data capture, in-process analytics, and seamless Industry 4.0 integration, giving manufacturers deeper visibility into weld quality and overall production performance.

Laser welding and marking technologies will also be showcased, including the versatile WL-300A laser workstation and the MM-L400 laser weld monitor. Equipped with an LM-F fiber laser, the WL-300A delivers fast, precise, contactless welds on a wide range of metals such as copper and aluminum. It also provides permanent, machine-readable marking for improved traceability.

The integrated MM-L400 detects errors such as part gaps, missing components, over-penetration, incorrect focus, or missing cover gas, providing real-time operator feedback. Compact and lightweight, the system supports spot and seam welding processes.

Cable harness manufacturing

Attendees can explore AMADA WELD TECH’s wire compacting and crimping solutions for high-current EV and battery applications. This equipment transforms stranded copper wires into solid, reliable conductors, ensuring better electrical performance and lower resistance across battery packs and harnesses.

The company will also feature expanded capabilities for electric motor stator manufacturing, including forming, welding, and repairing hairpins with AMADA Press Systems and AMADA WELD TECH equipment. These solutions meet the growing demand for precision and repeatability in EV traction motor production and other e-mobility applications.
