Epic Charging to expand EV charging across US and Canada

By Puja Mitra | December 26, 2025

LAZ Parking has made an investment in Epic Charging, an EV charging software provider, to expand Level 2 EV charging access across its parking locations in the US and Canada. The companies plan to deploy 50,000 Level 2 charging stations across LAZ’s properties.

Epic’s Charge Point Management System is designed to integrate with LAZ’s parking platform and support charger monitoring, predictive maintenance, payments and analytics.

Features include:

  • Scalable – Modern, scalable technical solution running on top of AWS. Advanced data platform and AI/MLsolutions learning from >21m transactions. AWS Elevate Award 2024.
  • Secure – Developed using OWASP security best practices. Operating V2G PKI. Audited by independend 3rd party reqularly.
  • Compatible – Works with OCPP compliant chargers. Supports industry standard interfaces OCPI, VDV261, VDV463, and OpenADR.
  • Reliable – 24/7 monitoring. Service up-time >99.9%. Transparent and fast incident handling.
  • Compliant – ISO27001-certified, GDPR-compliant

Epic will use the investment to accelerate development of Charge OptimAIzer, an AI-based energy management system intended to coordinate charging using real-time data from vehicle telematics, charger telemetry, and utility pricing signals.

The rollout is expected to include hotels, commercial, and mixed-use properties, surface lots, airports, and municipal parking operations.
