Emobi announced a partnership with Flipturn to expand EV charging access and interoperability for drivers and site owners. Flipturn has integrated Emobi’s roaming and authentication capabilities into its managed charging platform, allowing site owners to offer drivers access to a wider set of charging networks and applications through a single system.

Flipturn’s platform lets businesses and property owners manage charging assets, including power management, uptime monitoring, payments, billing and real-time diagnostics. By linking these functions to Emobi’s roaming hub, Flipturn customers can keep control of their charging environments while making chargers easier for drivers to find and use.
Drivers using automaker platforms, fleet management tools and consumer charging apps will be able to authenticate through Emobi and access participating Flipturn sites with consistent account-based access.
In the initial phase, Flipturn-managed chargers will join Emobi’s roaming network. This enables drivers to authenticate, start and pay for charging sessions through supported partner apps and platforms. The integration is intended to increase charger utilization and reduce the need for site owners to manage multiple access methods.
Over time, Flipturn sites may become eligible for Emobi’s JustPlug cloud-based Plug and Charge service, which supports ISO 15118 authentication on both newer and older charging equipment. If enabled, supported vehicles and applications could plug in and begin charging without additional onsite hardware changes, depending on vehicle and charger compatibility.
The companies said the partnership is intended to support broader EV adoption by improving multi-network access for drivers and simplifying roaming and authentication for customer-managed charging sites.
