Dual-cable EV charging solution supports CCS1 and NACS connectors

By Michelle Froese | March 21, 2025

Kempower, a North American electric vehicle (EV) charging solution provider, has announced the launch of its fast-charging experience, the Kempower Flex Satellite.

The Kempower Flex Satellite is designed for public charging applications, providing light-duty EV drivers an accessible and functional fast-charging experience while helping to meet the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Formula Program (NEVI Formula) funding requirements and state regulations.

The dual-cable satellite allows for an adapter-free experience with the ability to seamlessly choose between CCS1 and NACS connectors.

The Kempower Flex Satellite allows drivers to select the best connector for their vehicle, saving time and money. While allowing for faster chargers and a better user experience, the Flex Satellite provides:

  • Dual-cable satellite with (1) dc input from the Kempower Power Unit
  • 400 A CCS1 + 380 A NACS connectors
  • CCS1 or NACS cable options for each parking space at NEVI-funded or other public charging sites

Kempower will exhibit the Kempower Flex Satellite at the EV Charging Summit & Expo, the largest infrastructure event for transportation electrification, on March 25th to 27th, 2025 (Booth 1521). Attendees can learn more from Rhett Kiser, product manager, on Thursday, March 27th during the “Paving the Way Towards Hardware and Software Connectivity & Interoperability” panel session.

Dynamic charging solutions like the Flex Satellite demonstrate Kempower’s commitment to define, produce, and improve EV charging infrastructure, contributing to the widespread adoption of EVs to create a cleaner and more sustainable world.
