Driivz’s V9 platform adds new tools for EV charging operations and energy work

By Michelle Froese | November 19, 2025

Driivz, a Vontier company and global software supplier to electric vehicle (EV) charging operators and service providers, announced the release of Version 9 of its EV charging and energy management software platform.

The Driivz Platform V9 is now available to customers operating in more than 30 countries across North America, Europe, and APAC. The update focuses on improving operational visibility, system reliability, and coordinated charging and energy work across EV networks.

Platform V9 introduces expanded tools for data analysis, operational control, and Smart energy work. It is built to scale with charging network growth and supports deployments ranging from small operator networks to large multi-region infrastructures.

The release includes updates across four areas:

1. Revenue and cost management

  • Detailed cost breakdowns for operators, fleet managers, and drivers, including a new Invoices page and updated Driivz InSite fleet interface
  • Configuration options for idle time and overstay fees, incremental credit card authorization, and partial pre-authorization to reduce blocked charging sessions
  • Automated tariff updates on chargers, with support for CTEP cost-display compliance
  • A reporting engine and revenue dashboard with analysis by time period, location, tariff, charger model, and additional parameters

2. Network stability and availability

  • Network Optimizer functionality for creating custom triggers based on network behavior
  • Continuous monitoring that identifies issues early and can automate corrective actions
  • Tools designed to support improved uptime and reduced maintenance intervention

3. Smart energy work

  • An expanded Energy Management System supporting both cloud-orchestrated and on-site control
  • Load management algorithms that optimize power distribution within site capacity limits
  • Site integration tools for unified oversight of onsite energy assets
  • Grid cost control features to help manage operational expenses related to grid usage
  • Support for demand response, ancillary services, V2G participation, and other grid-interaction use cases
  • Analytics for multi-layer energy planning and operational decision-making

4. Fleet charging operations

  • A mobile-friendly depot view through Driivz InSite for Fleets showing EV turnaround and charger availability
  • Book & Charge cross-scheduling to coordinate charging across fleets managed under the same service provider
  • State-of-charge based planning to prioritize vehicles based on operational requirements
  • Home charging oversight and reimbursement workflows with cost optimization aligned to utility tariffs

Platform V9 is designed to provide operators with greater visibility into charging behavior, more control over network operations, and improved coordination of charging and energy use across site and grid interfaces. It supports continued EV charging network expansion while addressing operational and energy-related challenges across the sector.
