Deshaies Electrical adds residential EV charger installation service

By Puja Mitra | February 4, 2026

EV charger installation in Maryland

Deshaies Electrical Services announced the availability of residential electric vehicle (EV) charger installation services for homeowners in Anne Arundel County and nearby areas. The service addresses the need for home charging infrastructure as EV adoption increases in Maryland.

The company said it has seen more inquiries related to home EV charging in recent years driven in part by state incentives and policy targets that support a transition away from new gas-powered vehicles by 2035. Home charging allows EV owners to manage daily charging needs and reduce dependence on public infrastructure.

Deshaies Electrical Services installs both Level 1 and Level 2 EV chargers based on household electrical capacity and vehicle requirements. Each installation includes an assessment of the home electrical panel and circuits compliance with state and local electrical codes and completion of required permitting and documentation. Charger installations can also be coordinated with panel upgrades or other residential electrical work when needed.

Homes in the region vary widely in age and electrical capacity with some older properties requiring panel evaluations before Level 2 chargers can be installed. The company said installations are planned based on these conditions with attention to system compatibility and safety.

In addition to residential work Deshaies Electrical Services also installs EV charging stations for commercial applications such as workplaces small fleets and shared-use facilities.
