Collaboration aims to advance EV charging with AI-driven technology

By Michelle Froese | August 12, 2024

Since last year, Autel and Emobi have been working together and are now strengthening their commitment to accelerate the implementation of Plug & Charge in North America.

Both companies aim to enhance the electric vehicle (EV) charging experience by offering EV owners practicality, convenience, and simplicity in the charging process.

Artificial intelligence (AI) will be incorporated to enhance the EV charging experience by streamlining payment and billing processes, ensuring seamless retries, and improving overall convenience and reliability for users.

The partnership combines Autel’s wide range of charging solutions, known for their advanced diagnostics and user-friendly features, with Emobi’s roaming ecosystem. So far, more than 110,000 charging ports across North America have been integrated into the Emobi hub ecosystem.

Autel’s technology, built on decades of experience in the automotive industry, aims to ensure a seamless and efficient charging experience for EV owners.

Leveraging Emobi’s AI-powered Plug & Charge technology, the collaboration will further simplify EV payment and billing, ensuring seamless retry mechanisms, and a hassle-free experience at the charging station. This combined efforts aim to enhance user convenience by providing clear information, easy navigation, and consistent service to improve the usability of EV charging infrastructure.

“Our partnership with Emobi focuses on delivering the most convenient and reliable charging experience possible,” said Dan Larson, product and solutions manager at Autel. “When offered the opportunity to combine our extensive expertise in EV charging hardware and software solutions with Emobi’s game-changing technology; it was a no-brainer. This partnership demonstrates our commitment to implementing seamless retry functionality for EV drivers, avoiding the need for manual intervention during a charging session.”
