Bosch Rexroth will showcase several technologies for battery manufacturing at The Battery Show 2026 in Detroit, including heavy-payload conveyance, tightening systems, industrial controls, and cabinet-free drives (Booth 4330).
The company’s TS 7plus roller conveyor is designed to transport workpieces weighing up to 3,000 kg. The fully electric system uses modular conveyor sections with positioning, rotary, lift, and transfer functions. Workpiece pallets can measure up to 2,200 x 3,000 mm, and conveyor speeds reach 24 m/min.
Bosch Rexroth will also demonstrate its cordless NEXO nutrunner for battery assembly. The tool is designed for tightening operations that require defined torque and angle values and meets VDI/VDE 2862 requirements for Category A safety-critical tightening applications. Tightening results can be viewed through the tool’s integrated display and browser-based operating system.
For machine control, Bosch Rexroth will feature its ctrlX CORE controller, which runs the company’s Linux-based ctrlX OS. The controller supports customized applications for process monitoring and optimization and includes Ethernet, USB, µSD, and EtherCAT interfaces.
The company will also display its ctrlX DRIVE cabinet-free system. The IP67-rated drives mount directly on machinery rather than inside a centralized control cabinet, reducing cabling requirements and allowing more flexible machine layouts.
During the show, Dr. Andreas Letsch, who leads Bosch Rexroth’s battery industry vertical within Factory Automation, will present a blueprint for designing and implementing a highly automated battery recycling facility. The session is scheduled for 3:30 pm on October 14 in Room 140CD.
