Blink introduces AI-driven energy management for EV charging sites

By Michelle Froese | August 19, 2026

Blink Charging has launched EnergyConnect, an AI-driven energy-management system designed to help electric vehicle (EV) charging sites make better use of existing electrical capacity.

The platform dynamically allocates available power across chargers in real time and allows operators to set site-level load limits. It also provides live energy-use and charging-performance data through a centralized dashboard.

By managing charger demand within existing electrical constraints, EnergyConnect is designed to help charging sites expand capacity without immediately requiring electrical infrastructure upgrades.

Blink has initially deployed the platform across 13 company-owned DC fast-charging sites in Florida. The company plans to expand deployment to additional sites in the U.S., U.K., and Belgium.

Future EnergyConnect capabilities are expected to include utility integration, demand response, battery energy storage systems, and solar-energy management.
