By Michelle Froese | August 13, 2024

Volchar, an EV infrastructure manufacturer, recently launched a new wall-mounted 50A Home EV Charger, designed to deliver performance and convenience for drivers.

This innovative charger offers powerful charging capabilities, making it ideal for indoor and outdoor installations. It offers up to 9.6-kW charging performance and 240 V with an adjustable current from 10 to 40A

Installation is made easy with the option to choose between a hardwired connection or a NEMA 14-50 plug. The charger is fully certified, meeting rigorous standards for safety and performance. (It’s certified by the FCC and CSA and complies with the UL standard.)

Key features of the new Volchar EV charger include a sleek design with a comfortable handle and a smooth charging plug, ensuring ease of use. The 25-foot cable remains flexible even in extreme cold, providing reliable performance in various conditions, remaining flexible even under -30° C.

The charger is built with durability in mind. It features a compact size and an aluminum alloy backplate that offers excellent protection against the elements. This ensures long-lasting reliability, whether the charger is installed inside a garage or outdoors.

Volchar’s new charger also comes with smart app control, allowing users to set customized charging plans based on time and electricity rates. The app provides real-time charging data and supports both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connections. Additionally, users can control the charger using voice commands through Google Assistant and Alexa.
