EVerged, a North American energy technology company, has announced a strategic partnership with AMPECO, a provider of electric vehicle (EV) charging management platforms. The collaboration will support the deployment of over 5,000 charging points within the next two years across public and private networks in key metropolitan areas.
A primary focus of the partnership is improving charging reliability, one of the most pressing challenges in EV adoption. EVerged will implement AMPECO’s platform to monitor charger performance in real time, resolve most issues remotely, and enhance uptime across its ac and dc charging operations.
The collaboration began with the management of San Diego’s public charging network, where EVerged was tasked with overseeing municipal EV infrastructure under a City Council–approved plan.
The five-year initiative aims to install approximately 4,000 charging points, including 2,500 public and 1,500 municipal stations. This early deployment demonstrated the platform’s capability to manage a complex, citywide network and has become the foundation for EVerged’s broader expansion strategy.
The platform allows for centralized visibility, automated diagnostics, and reduced maintenance downtime. It resolves up to 70 to 80% of operational issues without the need for on-site intervention, enabling EVerged to scale more efficiently while minimizing service disruptions.
Additional capabilities include integrated promotional tools that support driver engagement campaigns (such as free charging periods) and partner-specific dashboards that streamline stakeholder reporting across the network.
This partnership illustrates how a unified, hardware-agnostic software approach can support faster EV infrastructure rollout while addressing persistent reliability concerns that have historically limited station availability and user satisfaction.
